As a Lumber Planer, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw timber into the smooth, uniform boards that are the foundation of countless construction and woodworking projects. Using state-of-the-art planing equipment, you will meticulously shave and smooth the surfaces of lumber, ensuring each piece meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain industrial-grade planers, jointers, and other woodworking machinery with a keen eye for detail and safety - Carefully inspect incoming lumber and identify any defects or irregularities - Adjust planer settings to achieve the desired thickness, width, and finish for each piece of lumber - Monitor the planing process and make real-time adjustments to optimize efficiency and product quality - Collaborate with the production team to maintain workflow and meet deadlines - Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating and maintaining industrial planer machine
