Job Title: Welder/Fabricator
Job Description:
We are seeking skilled welders to join a local manufacturing facility. The welder will play a crucial role in fabricating product used for various industries. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding and fabrication techniques, with a focus on producing high-quality finished product.
Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements for fabrication.
Set up and operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding machines, to fabricate product according to specifications.
Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and beveling to ensure proper fit-up and weld quality.
Perform welding operations on a variety of materials commonly used in fabrication, including galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Monitor welding parameters to achieve optimal weld penetration and strength.
Inspect welded joints visually and using non-destructive testing methods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot welding equipment and process issues to maintain productivity and quality in fabrication operations.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in welding preferred.
Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Proficiency in welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and spot welding, with the ability to produce high-quality welds on various metals.
Familiarity with welding codes and standards relevant to fabrication.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
Strong attention to detail and precision in welding operations to ensure duct components meet design specifications.Basic math skills and ability to take precise measurements.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks in a production environment.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement in all aspects of work.
Schedule: 1st shift 7am-3:30pm Monday-Friday OR (depending on position) 7am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday
Pay: $20+/hour, pay is heavily based on experience.
