Job Title: Weaver/Knit Inspector
Location: Burlington, NC
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $17.00

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Weaver/Knit Inspector to operate knitting equipment and inspect fabric to ensure it meets quality standards. This position is responsible for monitoring fabric production, identifying defects, performing routine machine adjustments, and ensuring finished materials meet customer specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and monitor knitting machines to produce high-quality fabric according to production schedules.
  • Inspect fabric during and after production for defects such as holes, runs, stains, dropped stitches, color variations, and other imperfections.
  • Perform routine quality checks and document inspection results.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and correct minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
  • Change yarn packages, thread machines, and assist with machine setup for new production runs.
  • Monitor machine performance, yarn tension, and fabric quality throughout the production process.
  • Remove defective material and notify supervisors of recurring quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Ensure production meets customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Perform basic cleaning and preventive maintenance on knitting equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality requirements.
  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Quality departments to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in textile manufacturing, knitting, weaving, or fabric inspection preferred.
  • Ability to recognize fabric defects and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to learn and operate textile machinery.
  • Basic computer skills for production and quality documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as needed.
