Job Title: Jacquard Weaver

Pay: $15 per hour depending on experience
Job Summary:
The Jacquard Weaver is responsible for operating and maintaining Jacquard looms to produce high-quality woven fabrics, including mattress tapes and mattress ticking, according to production schedules and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, technical skill, and a strong understanding of textile weaving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and monitor Jacquard looms to produce woven materials according to design and quality specifications.
- Inspect woven goods for defects and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality.
- Thread, tie-in, and change yarns or warps as required for new runs or color changes.
- Maintain proper loom operation by performing routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or yarn-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Follow all safety and production procedures to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
- Work closely with the weaving supervisor and quality control team to ensure product standards are met.
- Record production data and report any machine or quality issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating Jacquard or dobby looms, preferably in a textile manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of weaving techniques, yarn types, and fabric construction.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor loom adjustments and maintenance.
- Attention to detail with strong quality awareness.
- Ability to stand for long periods and handle physical aspects of the job, such as lifting beams or yarn packages.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
