Graham Personnel Service is seeking a Warehouse Management System Specialist for a busy Distribution center in Burlington.
Direct hire opportunity$23-26/hrHours: Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 7:30 am – 3pm
 Our client is looking for an accomplished supply chain expert to become a part of our Distribution Center team. This individual will play a crucial role in implementing the digital supply transformation strategy within our organization and will act as the initial point of contact between the business and the IT team in supporting the daily operations of the Distribution Center.
The Warehouse Management System Specialist is a valued operational collaborator and problem solver who possesses knowledge of supply chain, logistics, and distribution fulfillment approaches. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, operational proficiency, exceptional communication abilities, and strong relationship-building skills. This support involves understanding system configuration & administration, trouble-shooting issues and escalating as needed, and partnering with DC leadership to optimize system capability in achieving operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Influences and executes the Distribution Center product roadmap, collaborating with business and IT partners to identify and prioritize new capabilities aligned with key objectives. Provides expert guidance for Logistics fulfillment, driving operational excellence and implementing best practices.
  2. Leads end-to-end change management, maintaining fiscal discipline and aligning with business strategy. Facilitates requirement gathering sessions, ensuring compliance with policies and fostering collaboration across functions during integration.
  3. Trains teams and reduces support requests. Provides operational support, handles new implementations, and develops relationships with solution providers.
  4. Act as onsite system expert by investigating and troubleshooting WMS issues at DCs; provide support to other teams and facilities including participating in performance, testing, planning, and execution
  5. Research, troubleshoot, and identify potential solutions of system failures impacting operations, including escalation to appropriate parties, and prioritizing open issues with team
  6. Assist and collaborate with IT and other operations support staff on any operational/WMS issues
  7. Execute daily health checks for system performance and follow up on issues
  8. Participate in configuration, testing/validation and implementation of WMS releases, and disaster recovery planning and testing at the facility level
  9. Assist in training business partners and facility counterparts on implemented systems and process changes
  10. Assist in outlining system requirements based on business partnership; collaborate with broader WMS team to execute
  11. Communicate system-update statuses to business leadership for appropriate operational planning
  12. Provide backfill for administrative roles as needed

Key Requirements:
  1. Minimum of High School diploma or GED completion required,
  2. Bachelors degree in technical area preferred, technical emphasis preferred
  3. 2-3 years’ experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred
  4. Experience with Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Solochain or other WMS systems preferred
  5. Experience/knowledge with barcode scanning applications
  6. Strong analytical and PC skills including SQL and Microsoft Suite
  7. WMS order inquiry and inventory knowledge
  8. Ability to manage multiple priorities that involve many stakeholders as well as time management
  9. Relationship-building and customer focus (with both on-site and off-site partners)
  10. Adjusts communication style by articulating technical concepts to non-technical groups
  11. Independent decision-making, resolution skills and strong problem-identification skills with a working knowledge of warehousing and transportation fundamentals
