As a Picker Packer, your primary responsibility will be to accurately pick items from inventory, pack them securely, and prepare orders for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a well-organized and efficient warehouse are essential for the success of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking:
- Order Retrieval: Accurately pick items from shelves, bins, or designated areas based on order sheets or electronic picking systems.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect items for damage or defects and verify that the correct items and quantities have been picked.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of inventory levels, report discrepancies, and ensure that stock is organized and easily accessible.
Packing:
- Packaging: Carefully and securely pack items into boxes or containers to prevent damage during transit.
- Labeling: Apply shipping labels and ensure that all necessary documentation is included in the shipment.
- Order Assembly: Assemble, organize, and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring they are complete and accurate.
Warehouse Maintenance:
- Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking packing materials and keeping workspaces clear of debris.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet productivity goals.
- Basic computer skills to operate electronic picking systems (if applicable).
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift items, sometimes in excess of 50 pounds.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new warehouse processes and technologies.
