Upholstery Fabric Cutter:
Hours : Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. Unpaid lunch break from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm plus a paid morning and afternoon break.
Home Furnishings company is seeking an experienced (master) fabric cutter with a positive, can-do attitude. Company specializes in special order, mid to high end, residential and hospitality/contract seating upholstery. The position will be part of a small efficient team responsible for hand cutting upholstery fabrics.
Qualifications
- Technical competence and knowledge in upholstery fabric cutting
- Experience with marking/cutting leather, two-way, match, and flow matching of patterns
- Hand cutting experience required
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work independently as well as work cooperatively with a small team
- Knowledge of Eastman knife
- High-end furniture experience
- Ability to hand draw patterns to match
- Ability to efficiently lay out patterns and mark materials
Responsibilities
- Independently and accurately arrange, mark and cut fabric patterns
- Identify fabric flaws if any and maximize material yield
- Hand cut single, matched and lay cut materials
Pay rate: $20.00/Hour
