Job Description

Temporary Accounts Payable Clerk
*Position end date 12/31/24*           
Summary/Objective
Responsible for providing accounting support to the accounting department. Ensure that all invoices and bills are processed accurately and paid on time. Ensure files are complete and maintained.

Essential Functions

1.  Perform accounting and clerical functions to support supervisors.
2. Process invoices from vendors, ensuring they are accurate and complete.
3. Update and maintain accounting journals and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer
4. Match statements with receipts, code transactions and enter into accounting system for credit cards (American Express, Master Card, Fuel Card, etc.)
5. Maintains accounting records by making copies; filing documents.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
