Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciling accounts and preparing journal entries.- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.- Support accounts payable and receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation.- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.- Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.- Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making.- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant regulations.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.- 2-4 years of experience in accounting or related roles.- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office, particularly Excel.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
