Position: Direct Hire Machine Maintenance Technician
1st Shift
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting advanced automated woodworking equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software issues on CNC woodworking equipment (edge banders, nested-based CNCs, panel saws, machining centers)
- Perform preventative and routine maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
- Troubleshoot machine faults, alarms, and performance issues to restore production quickly
- Adjust, calibrate, and align CNC machines to maintain accuracy and quality standards
- Replace and repair components such as motors, sensors, spindles, actuators, belts, and tooling interfaces
- Support machine setup verification, tooling changes, and parameter adjustments as needed for maintenance purposes
- Work with CNC controls, HMIs, and related software to diagnose operational issues
- Review machine documentation, electrical schematics, manuals, and CAD/CAM information as needed
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and recurring issues
- Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and engineering to improve machine reliability and performance
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and equipment upgrades
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance workspace
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies
