Our manufacturing and distribution client with locations in Greensboro and Reidsville has an immediate DIRECT HIRE career opportunity for a Shipping Supervisor (Second Shift) Ideal candidate has worked with modern WMS systems in a paperless environment and flexible to work weekends during peak season. They offer pay up to $60k depending on skills and experience, excellent benefits, a collaborative team environment and in a niche industry of products. Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead shipping personnel while ensuring safe and clean operations within the distribution facility
Effectively demonstrate knowledge and strength of advanced WMS systems to increase operational performance in a paperless environment; Experience and work with RF scanners and bar codes
Supervise large number of hourly employees in the shipping and pick/pack areas
Program development, training and encouragement of personnel to achieve performance goals and develop in their roles
Create and implement all scheduling for shipping and receiving of goods
Work closely with management and executive teams to enhance warehouse/shipping operations.
Closely work with personnel to develop and identify strengths and areas of improvement to achieve operational expectations
Work effectively with customers and build key relationships
Accountable for supervision of all inbound or outbound shipments and timely shipments per customer requirements and specifications
Qualifications:
3+of supervisory experience in a warehouse or distribution environment; experience within a manufacturing experience also desired
Demonstrated leadership in a supervisory role, customer relationship building, data analytical skills and great math aptitude
Strong proficiency with advanced WMS (MS Dynamics 365 a plus; MS Office and experience with reporting and documentation
Experience and knowledge of warehouse/distribution mechanical equipment including forklifts
Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, FDA regulations and interested in being certified as needed
