Graham Personnel Services is assisting a client in Greensboro fill a Sample Lab Technician opening on 1st shiftPay Rate: $19/hour Job Summary: The Sample Lab Technician is responsible for compounding formulations for sales requests and for R&D personnel, keeping the laboratory stocked and clean, as well as performing sensory taste tests as needed. This position reports directly to the Sample Lab Supervisor. Company operates under the GFSI (Global Food Security Initiative) code. This international code of standards and operating practices is audited and verified by SQF (Safe Quality Food) and is of primary importance in our operating systems and allows us to sell our flavors worldwide by ensuring the highest standard in food safety and quality. It is the responsibility of every employee to place food product safety / workplace safety first in our operations, volume of production should never be overshadowed by our programs and procedures. If an employee should have any question as to the priority of these programs they may feel free to contact any member of the Company’s SQF team for clarification or support. Essential Functions of the job are:
Compound flavors for R&D Personnel
Compound samples for QC when needed
Compound prototypes for R&D when needed
Keep raw materials in R&D lab stocked and filled
Keep R&D lab clean
Perform sensory tasting when needed
Carry out other tasks as needed by R&D
Entry Qualifications: Facility and Equipment Operations
Must be of 18 years of age in order to meet all workplace and food product safety regulations.
High school diploma (preferably with some basic laboratory skills).
Basic mathematical skills.
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate through written instruction and or data entry
Knowledge of basic lab practices to operate and maintain a safe and professional lab working environment
Able to work independently to carry out assignments and submit results in a timely and accurate manner
