Job Description: Sample Laboratory TechnicianResponsible Party: Job Summary: The Sample Laboratory Technician is responsible for compounding flavor samples for the laboratory. This position requires strong analytical skills and strict attention to detail and general knowledge of chemistry. Essential Functions of the job are:
Compounding samples for sample lab
Compounding flavors for flavor chemists
Replace expended raw materials used in the lab
Maintain laboratory work area in a clean and safe manner
Follow appropriate safe and laboratory procedures
Pull ingredients from the warehouse as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
Other duties as assigned
Entry Qualifications:
High School diploma with some college
Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures
Must successfully pass a sensory acuity test.
Basic mathematical skills.
Understanding of Company Process and Program
Understanding of Company product codes and terminology
Ability to complete the food safety and regulatory training programs
Tact and human relations skills in dealing with supervisors and other employees
Able to understand, and carry out direction of Management
Must be of 18 years of age in order to meet all workplace and food product safety regulations
Must pass the Company prescribed, job specific, “Physical Abilities” testing as well as a pre-employment Physical
Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug-screen
Must demonstrate the ability to communicate through written instruction and or data entry
Must satisfactorily complete an Application for Employment
Must satisfactorily complete a reference and background check
Must complete company Confidentiality Agreement
Must provide identification and already be authorized to be legally employed on an ongoing basis in the United States
