A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Sampling Technician / Product Development Coordinator to support the creation of new textile-based products. This role plays a key part in bringing product concepts to life by developing samples, interpreting specifications, and supporting cross-functional teams through the product development process.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sewing, textiles, upholstery, or sample development who enjoys working hands-on while also collaborating with product development, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct and prepare product samples based on specifications, materials, and design requirements
Interpret written and verbal instructions to ensure accurate sample execution
Work with fabrics, fill materials, and components to create high-quality samples
Coordinate with Product Development, Quality, and Production teams to support sample requests
Track and manage incoming and outgoing samples, including shipments to internal teams and third-party labs
Assist with pre-production samples, customer samples, and product approvals
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in sewing, textiles, upholstery, or sample making
Experience working with fabrics, materials, and basic product construction
Ability to read and follow specifications, measurements, and instructions
Strong attention to detail and quality
Comfortable working both independently and within a team environment
Basic communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams
Preferred (but not required):
Experience with industrial sewing machines
Background in product development or sample room environments
Experience in furniture, bedding, or textile manufacturing
