Job Description

Graham Personnel Services is seeking a  Sample Laboratory Technician for a growing company in Greensboro. This person is responsible for compounding flavor samples and prototypes. The Technician is responsible for assisting flavor chemists and the Vice President of R&D and the R&D team with requested compounding. This position requires strict attention to detail and knowledge of chemistry. Essential Functions of the job are: 
  1. Compounding samples/applications
 
  1. Compounding flavors for flavor chemists
 
  1. Assist with sensory tests and participate in daily panels
 
  1. Replenish ingredients in the lab
 
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of flavor compounding
 
  1. Comprehensive knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office and other required business systems
 
  1. Provide technical support for QC, flavorists, sample lab and supervisors as needed.
 Additional Responsibilities: 
  1. Follow appropriate cleaning, safety and laboratory procedures
 
  1. Compounding samples for the sample lab
 
  1. Compound for production runs
 
  1. Handling and storage of Hazardous Materials
 
  1. Generation of batch sheets for samples or production as requested

  1. Biology or Chemistry degree required
 
  1. Good math aptitude
 
  1. Knowledge of Food Science helpful
