Safety Coordinator
Job Summary: A local manufacturer is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to oversee and implement safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment across the facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and experience in safety training and risk assessment.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and update safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA and company standards. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and facility inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards. Coordinate and lead safety training sessions for new hires and ongoing workforce education. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for preventive actions. Maintain accurate safety documentation, including injury logs, audit reports, and compliance certifications. Collaborate with departments to ensure proper usage of PPE, machinery, and adherence to safety guidelines. Serve as the main point of contact for safety-related concerns and facilitate open communication on safety practices. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in a safety role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards. Excellent communication, training, and documentation skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and respond to safety issues effectively. Pay: $60k-70k/year
