The Lead is responsible for providing daily leadership to a production shift, including supervising packers and utility employees, setting up machines, and ensuring product quality. They act as the primary technical contact on the floor for process improvements and troubleshoot issues to maximize production.
Key Responsibilities
Production Leadership: Guide, train, and support packing and utility employees on the shift. Oversee daily production flow.
Technical Operations: Manage injection molding machine processing systems, perform mold set-ups, and set parameters to meet specifications.
Quality & Safety Control: Monitor product quality and enforce safety standards (housekeeping, GMPs).
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Troubleshoot process-related issues, perform mold changes, and work with maintenance to correct mechanical issues promptly.
Documentation & Reporting: Complete production paperwork, review performance data, and advise management on process improvements.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally with 5+ years in injection molding.
Technical Skill: Strong understanding of machine processing, mold set-ups, and, ideally, "decouple" molding techniques.
Leadership Ability: Motivated self-starter with the ability to instruct, coach, and lead team members.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical/Scheduling: Must be able to work designated shifts (11p-7a) and meet physical demands of a production floor.
