Job Title: Process Technician
Location: Roxboro, NC
Shift: Sun-Thurs 11pm-7am
Pay: $28
We are looking for an Injection Molding Set-Up Technician on our night shift from 11pm – 7am Sunday – Thursday, to set up and start up our injection molding machines. In this role, you provide technical support to help us produce plastic parts at a high standard of quality. In addition to cleaning and inspecting mold components before changing them out, you will troubleshoot process issues during production and assist with color changes. This role requires some technical training, and preference is at least 2 years of experience working with plastic injection molding.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Set up and start up injection molding machines to produce a quality product
· Change in-press mold inserts as required
· Clean mold components per schedule
· Inspect components for damage
· Knowledge and use of hand tools required
· Troubleshoot machine issues
· Assist with color changes as needed
· Perform quality checks during production
· Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Qualifications:
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in injection molding setup and processing.
- High school math proficiency.
- Must be able to meet physical demands of lifting 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read blueprints or similar schematics or diagrams.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and able to read and write in English.
- Be able to work under pressure, prioritize, and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Experience with material handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklifts.
