Are you skilled in operating press brake machinery to shape metal sheets with precision and accuracy? We're seeking a talented Press Brake Operator to join our team and play a crucial role in our manufacturing process. As a Press Brake Operator, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to specifications. If you have experience in machine operation, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality, we want to hear from you! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Press Brake Operation: Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, shape, and form metal sheets according to blueprints and specifications.
Material Handling: Load and unload materials onto the press brake machine, ensuring proper alignment and positioning for accurate bending and forming.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, making adjustments to machine settings as necessary to maintain accuracy.
Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on press brake machinery to ensure proper functioning, including cleaning and lubricating.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production output, machine settings, and quality inspections.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality control personnel to optimize production processes and resolve any issues that may arise.
Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the press brake department to ensure efficiency and safety.
Occasional Overtime: Be prepared for occasional overtime and the possibility of working a few hours on Saturdays.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you'll need:
Experience: Previous experience operating press brake machinery in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding technical drawings is essential. Familiarity with measuring tools and equipment is beneficial.
Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting machine issues and making adjustments.
Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to interpret specifications accurately and ensure quality finished products.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy materials, and work in varying temperatures.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly and collaboratively to achieve production goals.
Punctuality and Dependability: Good attendance history and reliability are essential.
Good Math and Communication Skills: Ability to perform basic math calculations and communicate effectively with colleagues.
