Planner/Scheduler

Job Description
The Planner-Scheduler coordinates, negotiates, plans and administers the procurement of materials, tools, equipment, supplies, and services essential to the continuous operation of the facility.
Responsibilities
• Coordinates the procurement of raw materials including requisitions, ordering, follow-up, inventory management, request for quotation, obsolescence, price variance and rejections/complaints
• Manages materials to support the production schedules while striving to achieve material inventory goals
• Assists in scheduling production operations using SAP and other planning tools
• Communicates information to Operations, material handlers, quality inspection, and warehouse concerning material changes, safety stock levels and material outages
• Collaborates with Quality, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to facilitate the completion of “Go to Markets” for packaging changes
• Monitors and improves pull supermarkets through resizing, auditing, and working with suppliers to implement additional items on pull to achieve desired inventory goals while meeting customer needs
• Resolves material issues, including inventories, shortages, delivery delays and quality issues
• Initiates and coordinates material cost reduction efforts
What we are looking for
• 2 years administrative or clerical experience
• Experience with suppliers, planning and ordering of materials and supplies, contract administration
• Working knowledge of SAP and demonstrated proficiency in MS Office
• Lean principles experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Schedule: 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
Pay: Up to $25/hour, Based on Experience
