Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Payroll Clerk for a company in Mebane, NC. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees, and maintaining payroll records. This role requires excellent organizational skills and a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations. Key Responsibilities:
Process payroll for all company employees accurately and on time.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and benefits.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and input data into the payroll system.
Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions.
Prepare payroll reports for management and audit purposes.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and resolve any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Assist with year-end processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
Coordinate with the HR department on employee status changes, such as new hires, terminations, and salary adjustments.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a payroll clerk or similar role.
Familiarity with payroll software and systems (ADP)
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
