Occupational Health and Safety Manager

Job Summary:
Local manufacturer is seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Manager to lead the development, implementation, and oversight of safety protocols that ensure a safe, compliant, and productive work environment. This role is integral to managing company-wide safety standards, risk assessments, and continuous improvements for occupational health initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive safety programs aligned with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and regular audits to evaluate hazards, identify gaps, and ensure compliance across all operations.
Develop and facilitate safety training programs to educate employees on proper practices, hazard prevention, and emergency procedures.
Lead investigations for all safety incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain safety records, incident logs, and documentation to comply with legal and corporate standards.
Collaborate with leadership and operational teams to enhance a safety culture that proactively mitigates risks.
Ensure ergonomic practices are in place, focusing on both physical and mental wellness for the workforce.
Monitor emerging health and safety trends, recommending policy updates and best practices.
Oversee and implement emergency response plans and business continuity procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in safety management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
Proven knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage complex safety initiatives and influence cross-functional teams.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, CIH) are a plus.
Pay: 90k-100k/year, Based on experience
