Night Shift Manufacturing Supervisor

Schedule: 7pm-7am on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Supervisor to help oversee the operations of a local manufacturer. The ideal candidate will provide direction to ensure current commitments are met while driving continuous improvements in safety, quality, cost, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the operations of the plant, ensuring all commitments are met.
Support facility management in fostering high colleague morale.
Provide direct leadership and consistently administer company policies and work rules to ensure conformity.
Maintain working knowledge of schedules, costs, quality, safety, material utilization, and productivity, providing direction and guidance to achieve deliverables.
Develop and coordinate production/maintenance schedules while optimizing flexibility of processes and equipment.
Analyze costs, material utilization, and inventory levels, resolving variances and developing necessary controls to monitor these areas while promoting problem-solving.
Promote safety, health, and environmental initiatives as well as 5S and housekeeping within the assigned area.
Determine training needs and administer colleague training for the assigned area.
Demonstrate a proactive and creative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Lead and/or facilitate improvement efforts and special projects related to safety, quality, and cost.
Promote high-level performance of hourly employees, including conducting performance appraisals and championing team initiatives, colleague ownership, and empowerment.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
Ability to analyze and resolve variances in costs, material utilization, and inventory levels.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving.
Ability to coordinate and manage production/maintenance schedules.

Pay: $25-$30/hour Based on experience
