Roto Tech Job Description
- Assist in the molding of plastic parts: weighing plastic and loading molds, unclamping and removing parts from molds, placement of parts into cooling fixtures, monitoring temperatures and operating oven controls
- Responsible for learning all aspects of running the oven
- Inspect parts for defects, or quality issues and report non-conforming items to Team Lead and/or Roto Supervisor
- Trim excess plastic from molded parts using hand or power tools
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety
Work Environment
- Rural setting: Exposure to high temps, fumes, dust, and cool temps in the winter
- Fast-paced, physically active manufacturing setting
- Steel toe shoes and safety glasses required
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting to 35lbs; team lifts for heavier items
- Schedule: 7:00 to 3:30 Monday through Friday and sometimes Saturday
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math skills for weighing and measuring materials
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written/verbal instructions
- Mostly, the willingness to learn and work as a team
- Starting wage depending on background and manufacturing experience
