Job Title: Molding Technician
Classification: Nonexempt
Wage: $32/hr
Job Summary
Own safe start-up, setup/changeover, in-process control, and documentation for Tayu vertical injection-molding cells with integrated automation (Kawasaki 6-axis robots, vibratory bowl feeders and runs, camera vision system, table cutters, and washer capping stations) to produce insulator pins for handheld conducted energy devices. Deliver production on time by fine tuning automation settings and restoring machines to standard after faults. Maintain complete in-process quality and production records, conduct quality checks using calipers and microscopes, and update NetSuite software.

Required Skill/Abilities
- Hands-on experience with vertical injection molding presses and integrated automation
- Ability to perform setups/changeovers, first-article inspections, and in-process control to defined limits.
- Basic robot operations (home, jog, point verification) and EOAT handling;
- Use of calipers and microscope
- NetSuite production entry (operations confirm, assembly build, scrap)
- LOTO proficiency and adherence to safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Efficient handling of multiple tasks and priorities during a production shift.
- Accurate record-keeping of process parameters, quality checks, and production issues.
- Ability to navigate and adjust settings on machine HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces).
- Systematic approach to identifying root causes of defects or process inefficiencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports.
- Clear communication with team members, maintenance, and engineering staff.
- Ability to pass a background screen.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- A minimum of five years of experience in the plastic injection molding field is preferred.
- RJG/Paulson training or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of up to 12 hours working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
