Job Description

We are seeking a first-class repair mechanic with expertise in turbo machinery repair and precision measurement. This role is ideal for mid-to-late career professionals, as well as current or former field service technicians. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply. Expert in precision measurement (Machinist/Shop Math) with the ability to take and interpret measurements < .001.
7+ years of experience in turbo machinery repair at the component level.
Advanced troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Proficient in visual and dimensional inspection of machinery components.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Willingness to learn and apply Six Sigma and Lean 5S principles (prior knowledge is a plus).
Manual machining experience (lathe, mill, etc.) is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Work under the supervision of a senior technician to learn specialized repair techniques.
Disassemble, clean, and inspect pumps and associated parts.
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections to assess part conditions.
Complete Bill of Materials (BOM) documentation for required repairs.
Generate detailed as-found and as-built condition reports.
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) in collaboration with the engineering team.
Adhere to company repair policies, procedures, and shop workflow standards.
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the repair process.
Assist with pickup and delivery of customer equipment as needed.

Requirements

Minimum 7+ years of experience as a first-class mechanic.
Strong ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, BOMs, and technical drawings.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
Must be able to obtain a TWIC card (current TWIC holders are preferred).
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
High school diploma or GED required.
