Salary: $24-28/hour (Starting)Company Overview:
Join a dynamic and growing company in High Point as a Manufacturing Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring that production machinery operates efficiently and at optimum capacity.Role Overview:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for maintaining production equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring production processes run smoothly. You will be responsible for calibrating and testing machinery, performing preventative maintenance, preparing and batching chemicals, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Setup & Operation:
    Set up and operate production lines and machinery, ensuring all equipment runs at optimal capacity and meets quality standards.
  • Chemical Preparation & Batching:
    Prepare and batch chemicals, oversee machine startups, and handle post-dip operations. Cover for absenteeism in the process operation as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
    Perform regular maintenance and inspections of equipment to keep machinery in working order. Troubleshoot technical issues and apply necessary corrective actions.
  • Quality Control & Process Monitoring:
    Monitor production processes and inspect products at various stages to ensure they meet quality standards. Adjust processes as needed to maintain optimal quality.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    Update production process control documents with accurate run information and calculations. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, environmental records, and wastewater treatment data.
  • Training & Guidance:
    Assist in training new employees on manufacturing processes and quality standards. Provide ongoing support to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Collaboration & Process Improvement:
    Work closely with the production team to implement process improvements and optimize workflows in collaboration with the Global Continuous Improvement leader.
  • Product Validation:
    Be responsible for the validation and commissioning of new products.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Ensure the safe operation of machinery and adhere to lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures. Monitor safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with production equipment, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
  • Attention to Detail: Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in the textile industry is a plus.
  • Chemicals & Dyes: Familiarity with working with chemicals and dyes.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for maintaining logs, SOPs, and documentation.
