New company In High point is looking for a Manufacturing Technician.Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Manufacturing Technician will ensure production machinery is working efficiently and at optimum capacity, which includes calibrating, testing, and conducting preventative maintenance, maintaining supplies, preparing and batching chemicals, and cleaning/sterilizing workspace and equipment. The Manufacturing Technician will be skilled at troubleshooting production or equipment problems, and be detailed in writing and maintaining standard operating procedures, and maintenance logs. This individual has proven technical skills working with production equipment and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and analytical with superior problem-solving skills. Experience with Chemicals/Dyes.  Ability to read blueprints a must. Textile industry background very helpful. Pay range $24-28 to start.Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate the production line and other machinery within the production department. Run and monitor production quality standards.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste in the production process.
  • Responsible for preparing and batching chemicals, machine startups, and post dip operations.
  • Cover process operator absenteeism for preparing and batching chemicals, machine startups, and post-dip operations.
  • Update production process control documents with production run information and calculations.

  • Responsible for wastewater treatment including cleaning filter bags, maintaining pump, pit etc.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues on production machinery, apply safeguards, and lock out, tag out (LOTO) procedures as required.
  • Calibrate and test machinery, installing and assembling parts/modifications as per engineering specifications.
  • Test and monitor machinery, and help with any changes or modifications needed as required by the Engineering team.
  • Maintain water treatment records and required environmental records.
  • Keep equipment in good working order by performing regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing, and conducting routine preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor and check product quality, and conduct regular inspections of products at various stages of production to help identify when, or if the process is deviating from optimal quality standard. Adjust/correct process as needed.
  • Assist in training new employees and provide guidance to ensure adherence to manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team to implement process improvement and optimize workflows under direction of Global Continuous Improvement leader.
  • Responsible for all new product validation and product commissioning.
  • Provide regular productivity reports. Maintain accurate and clear documentation for reference and audit purposes.
