Job Description

Maintenance Technician 
*2nd and 3rd shift opportunities*

• Perform assigned repair and preventative maintenance activities• Routinely inspects and maintains building and installed systems including but not limited to manufacturing machinery, plumbing systems, roofs, drains, shop, and grounds• Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, PLCs and other related maintenance activities using good maintenance procedures and codes• Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems• Creates and maintains up-to-date service and replacement data files for building equipment and machinery• Communicates need for major repairs or additions to equipment to appropriate manager• Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair• Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities• Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions• Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations• Maintains a clean, safe working environment• Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures• Ensure all activities are conducted safely and within safety guidelines/procedures• Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager
•    High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
•    3 to 5 years related experience or equivalent
•    Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, PLCs, carpentry, and industrial maintenance
•    Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather

•    Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
•    Ability to manage priorities and workflow
•    Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
•    Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects

•    Basic proficiency on Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word
•    Strong interpersonal skills
•    Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
•    Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
•    Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
•    Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
•    Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
•    Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace
•    Machining Experience (Mill, Lathe, Drill Press)
•    Welding Experience
•    Motor & Electrical/ PLC troubleshooting
•    Bearing Installation & troubleshooting
•    Pneumatic & Hydraulic troubleshooting
•    Mechanical component experience
•    Gears, pulleys, belts, pumps, lubrication
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:•    Ability to walk, bend, stand, climb stairs and reach constantly during a work shift•    Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction•    Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions•    Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws
•    Lift and carry up to and above 75 pounds.
•    Use ladders and scaffolds.
•    Work at heights and in inclement weather.
•    Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
•    Collect, interpret, and/or analyze complex data and information
•    Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
•    Manufacturing Environment (Hot in summer and cool in winter)
•    Frequent weekend work expected to complete projects and maintenance activities while equipment is not scheduled for production
•    Weekend work expected to cover shift when production is working and there are maintenance repairs/projects that cannot be completed during production
•    Available for on call schedule and cover other shifts for scheduled/ non scheduled absence of fellow team members.

Pay: $24-$26+/hour Based on experience
