Job Description

Summary:  The Maintenance Technician II is a qualified Maintenance Technician that provides leadership and supervision to maintenance personnel and technical assistance while diagnosing, troubleshooting, correcting, and optimizing molding machinery per plant requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time. 
  • Suggest improvements to process methods to improve Safety, Quality and Cost.
  • Design, coordinate and procure process equipment and tooling for maintenance replacements and new product projects per plant requirements. 
  • Have a thorough understanding of the tooling, machining, electronic drafting and / or modeling as necessary to complete the assignments of the job per plant requirements.

  • High School or GED preferred.
  • Fully trained Maintenance Technician with leadership skills, normally after ten (02) plus years of maintenance experience.
  • Demonstrated good communication skills.
  • Valid Drivers Licensed may be required, based on plant requirements.

  • Ability to lead, take charge, make decisions as needed and offer ideas, opinions and direction.
  • Ability to collaborate and model effective teamwork. 
  • Ability to be sensitive to others’ needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job.
  • Ability to maintain composure, keep emotions in check, control anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations.
  Computer Skills:
  • Ability and knowledge in Microsoft office applications per plant requirements;
 Integrity:
  • Job requires honesty and being ethical;

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail for accuracy and thoroughness in completing work;
  • Ability to keep privileged information confidential;

  • The noise level is loud in the plant, with hearing protection and safety glasses required.
  • The temperature in the plant fluctuates from cold to hot depending on the time of year.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.

  • Occasionally required to squat, stoop, bend, kneel, twist, scoop.

Pay: $21-23/HR DOE
