Job Description

Maintenance Technician (2nd Shift)Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance on packaging equipment, including conveyors, fillers, labelers, and other production machinery.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
Monitor equipment performance and conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues before they impact production.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely equipment repairs and minimize production disruptions.
Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment as needed.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts used.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, including lock-out/tag-out protocols.
Participate in routine safety meetings and training sessions.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls during production shifts.
Assist in the development of maintenance schedules and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely availability of replacement parts and tools.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in industrial maintenance, mechanical, or electrical engineering preferred.
Proven experience 3 years working as a maintenance technician or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in an industrial environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
