Maintenance Helper

About:
A local furniture warehouse is currently seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Maintenance Helper to join the team and assist with the upkeep and maintenance of our warehouse facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including painting, cleaning, and repairs.
Use grinders and other hand tools for surface preparation and equipment maintenance.
Assist with basic electrical work, such as replacing light fixtures, troubleshooting wiring issues, and minor electrical repairs.
Operate a sit-down forklift to move materials, furniture, or equipment as needed.
Handle heavy lifting tasks for equipment or furniture movement.
Clean and organize workspaces, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, ensuring tools and machinery are in proper working condition.
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain a safe, functional, and organized warehouse environment.
Support other maintenance or warehouse tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in facility maintenance, warehouse operations, or a related field preferred.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting (experience with minor repairs is a plus).
Ability to operate a sit-down forklift (certification preferred but not required, company will certify).
Experience with hand tools, including grinders, and basic maintenance techniques.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects regularly.
Basic knowledge of safety practices and procedures in a warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Reliable transportation and punctuality.
Hours: 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday
Pay: $15/hour
