Industrial Maintenance Technician - Graham NCDirect Hire - 26 to $30 1st and 2nd shift
The Maintenance Technician will support all production/facility equipment during normal operation, performs preventive maintenance on all equipment, and maintains facility in top condition.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The following reflects management’s definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.· Perform assigned repair and preventative maintenance activities· Routinely inspects and maintains building and installed systems including but not limited to manufacturing machinery, plumbing systems, roofs, drains, shop, and grounds· Performs minor and routine repairs including but not limited to painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, PLCs and other related maintenance activities using good maintenance procedures and codes· Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems· Creates and maintains up-to-date service and replacement data files for building equipment and machinery· Communicates need for major repairs or additions to equipment to appropriate manager· Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair· Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities· Inspects buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions· Inspects new installation for compliance with building codes and safety regulations· Maintains a clean, safe working environment· Possesses and maintains a high level of competency and efficiency in all aspects of maintenance operations· Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures· Ensure all activities are conducted safely and within safety guidelines/procedures· Performs other duties as assigned by the Maintenance ManagerQUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
  • 3 to 5 years related experience or equivalent
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, PLCs, carpentry, and industrial maintenance
  • Ability to work at heights and in inclement weather
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Basic proficiency on Microsoft Outlook, Access, Excel, and Word
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance
  • Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
  • Ability to perform the physical labor necessary
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English used in the workplace
  • Machining Experience (Mill, Lathe, Drill Press)
  • Welding Experience
  • Motor & Electrical/ PLC troubleshooting
  • Bearing Installation & troubleshooting
  • Pneumatic & Hydraulic troubleshooting
  • Mechanical component experience
  • Gears, pulleys, belts, pumps, lubrication
