Industrial Maintenance Supervisor
*Contract position with potential of being hired full-time!*
Position Summary:We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to provide strong leadership and direction across our plant operations. This role is responsible for supervising maintenance activities to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a proactive mindset, and experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments—experience with high-speed machinery is a significant plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and direct maintenance operations across designated area.
Ensure daily targets and long-term performance metrics are met in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
Lead maintenance staff to promote high morale and a safe, collaborative work culture.
Administer company policies and procedures with fairness and consistency.
Monitor and guide performance in areas such as schedules, cost control, quality assurance, safety compliance, material use, and overall productivity.
Develop and manage production/maintenance schedules while maximizing equipment flexibility and uptime.
Analyze and address cost variances, material usage, and inventory trends; implement controls to ensure improvement.
Support and enforce 5S, housekeeping, and all safety/environmental standards.
Identify training needs and ensure effective onboarding and ongoing development of team members.
Lead and/or participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and promote employee engagement and accountability.
Liaise with external vendors and temporary staffing partners to ensure adequate support and resource availability.
Must be willing and able to work in a production environment across all shifts.
Wear all required PPE in compliance with plant safety standards.
Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or maintenance supervisory role.
Strong communication, organizational, and team-building skills.
Knowledge of safety protocols and quality systems.
High-speed machinery experience is highly preferred.
Ability to analyze data, drive results, and resolve issues effectively.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) is a plus.
Schedule: 6am-4pm; Must be flexible with nights and/or weekends as necessary
Pay: $32-$38/hour, Based on Experience
