Job Description:
We are currently seeking a versatile and motivated individual to join our team as a Tote Washer and Forklift Operator. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for efficiently cleaning and sanitizing various types of totes while also operating a forklift to assist with material handling and logistical tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Tote Washing:
- Clean and sanitize totes and containers used in manufacturing, logistics, or related industries.
- Inspect totes for damage or wear and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Operate cleaning equipment and use appropriate cleaning agents in accordance with safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of cleaning materials.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the timely cleaning and availability of totes for operational needs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Forklift Operation:
- Safely operate a forklift to transport totes, materials, and products within the facility.
- Assist with loading and unloading shipments, ensuring proper handling and placement of items.
- Conduct routine inspections of the forklift and report any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating the forklift.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize logistical processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, sanitation, and forklift operation.
- Understanding of safety and hygiene protocols related to equipment cleaning and forklift operation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Physical ability to lift and move totes as needed.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED desired.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, walk, and stand, and lift up to 50 lbs unassisted throughout the day.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
Salary: From $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday with some weekends; 8 hour shifts.
