As a PIT Operator, your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient operation of Cherry Picker/Reach Truck to move and manage inventory within the warehouse. Your attention to safety, precision, and your ability to manage materials will be essential in ensuring the smooth flow of products through the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:
PIT Operation:
- Material Handling: Safely and efficiently operate Cherry Picker/Reach Truck to move materials, products, and inventory within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Assist in the organization of inventory, ensuring products are stored in designated locations and properly labeled.
Safety and Compliance:
- Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on Cherry Picker/Reach Truck and report any issues to the maintenance department.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of PIT operations, including inspection reports and inventory movement logs.
Warehouse Support:
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure the efficient flow of materials and products.
- Assist with Other Duties: Participate in general warehouse tasks, such as inventory counts and assisting in the packaging and shipping areas as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be okay with heights up to 30ft.
- Valid Cherry Picker/Reach Truck operator's license or certification.
- Proven experience as a PIT driver, with a strong safety record.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures.
- Strong attention to safety protocols and operational guidelines.
- Physical stamina and ability to operate a Cherry Picker/Reach Truck for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new warehouse technologies and processes.
