Job Title: Floating Production Associate
Pay: $17/HR
Job Summary
The Floating Production Associate is a versatile team member who supports multiple departments within the paint manufacturing facility based on daily production needs. This role requires flexibility, strong attention to safety and quality, and the ability to quickly learn and perform a variety of manufacturing, packaging, and material-handling tasks. The Floating Production Associate plays a critical role in maintaining efficient operations, minimizing downtime, and supporting overall production goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support various production areas, including batch making, filling/packaging, labeling, warehousing, and quality support, as assigned
  • Operate manufacturing and packaging equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Accurately follow batch tickets, work instructions, and quality standards
  • Assist with raw material handling, staging, weighing, and movement of finished goods
  • Perform basic inspections to ensure product quality, labeling accuracy, and packaging integrity
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S and housekeeping standards)
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including PPE usage and chemical handling procedures
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status or issues
  • Provide coverage during absences, peak production periods, or shift changes
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environment preferred
  • Ability to learn multiple processes and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions and safety guidelines
  • Basic math skills for measurements, counting, and documentation
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Comfortable working around chemicals, machinery, and varying noise levels
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respirators, gloves, and protective clothing
