PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Operator II
Operate an electric powered industrial truck (Hi/Lo, Reach Truck and/or Turret) equipped with lifting devices such as forklift or elevating platform, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier or move product, boxes, pallets and/or materials.
Responsibilities:
- Position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, transports, load, and unload to a designated area
- Perform item and location inquiries and quantity overrides, verify incoming finished goods, confirm replenishment moves, putaway moves, pallet consolidation, and putbacks; and problem solve inventory issues
- Handles put-away, replenishment, picking, and inventory control functions in the VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) sections of the warehouse
- Ability to use an RF Scanner to locate cases, pull case list, split/move cases, direct storage, pack-in/out, fill active and case pick and direct re-slot procedures.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of materials onto or off pallets, skids, or lifting devices
- Place materials to be staged and put away in a warehouse environment
- Consistently meet daily productivity while adhering to safety policies within the department
- Ensure equipment batteries are charged at breaks, lunches, end of shift
- Participate in and complete all company training programs as it relates to this position, including Safety Training, Cross Functional Training, Power Equipment Certification, and readiness assessments
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
- Experience Operating Powered Industrial Truck (Forklift, Hi/Lo, Reach Truck and/or Turret) required.
- Knowledge of WMS preferred.
- Three to six months experience and/or training in a distribution environment
- Must understand basic inventory movement, transactions, and distribution systems.
- Experience with RF technology in a WMS environment preferred
- Must be able to work all scheduled shift hours to include, but not limited to, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts
- Must be able to lift low to medium weight (10-30 pounds) on a regular basis and heavy weight (40-50 pounds) on an occasional basis.
