About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically strong IWS (Integrated Work System) Maintenance Lead to drive maintenance excellence and equipment reliability within our manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in implementing and continuously improving world-class maintenance systems, developing high-performing teams, and eliminating breakdown losses through structured problem-solving and IWS methodologies.
The IWS Maintenance Lead will serve as the owner of maintenance performance for an assigned production cell, acting as both a technical expert and a coach. You will lead the deployment of Maintenance Planning & Scheduling (MPS), Breakdown Elimination (BDE), and Daily Management Systems (DMS), while building sustainable capability across operations and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own the elimination of maintenance and breakdown-related losses for the assigned production cell.
Lead and sustain the Progressive Maintenance (PM) system and IWS pillars within the maintenance function.
Facilitate structured root cause analysis for equipment failures using IWS tools such as IPS, 5 Whys, UPS, Dice Charts, and failure analysis.
Develop and execute short-term (24-hour) and mid-term (up to 90-day) action plans in collaboration with Cell Leads and line teams.
Establish, maintain, and continuously improve Daily Management Systems (DMS), including Breakdown Elimination and Maintenance Planning & Scheduling.
Coach and develop line teams to become self-sufficient by strengthening technical skills, problem-solving capability, and adherence to standards.
Create and maintain maintenance standards, One Point Lessons (OPLs), and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and process consistency.
Support capital projects, equipment installations, and upgrades by contributing to planning, risk assessment, and technical readiness.
Drive the effective use of Progressive Maintenance tools, PM cards, and reliability methodologies to improve equipment performance and uptime.
Serve as a continuity link between maintenance, operations, and other IWS pillars to ensure alignment with site and business objectives.
Qualifications
Technical degree or equivalent education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Automation.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment in a maintenance, reliability, or continuous improvement role.
Strong working knowledge of time-based and condition-based maintenance, TPM or similar systems, and root cause failure analysis.
Experience with maintenance planning & scheduling, spare parts management, and reliability improvement practices.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Demonstrated ability to coach teams, lead change, and drive structured problem-solving in a fast-paced industrial environment.
