Job Description
Graham Personnel Services is assisting a client in Browns Summit fill a temporary IT Support Technician opening.
Position Summary: Support day to day IT aspects of the North Carolina Distribution Center. To include but not limited to, desktops, laptops, peripherals, printers, basic hardware and basic network access for local users.
Essential Job Functions:
1.End User Support Resolve software and hardware issues for local users for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices. Resolve issues with Email, Networking, I/O devices and VPN or other connection issues. Support for local office users with IT needs and assist in setting up new user workstations and equipment
2. System Configurations Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and
network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products
- Address user tickets regarding hardware, software and networking
- Walk customers through installing applications and computer peripherals
- Ask targeted questions to diagnose problems
- Guide users with simple, step-by-step instructions
- Conduct remote troubleshooting
- Test alternative pathways until you resolve an issue
- Customize desktop applications to meet user needs
- Record technical issues and solutions in logs
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Follow up with clients to ensure their systems are functional
- Report customer feedback and potential product requests
Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user and
network hardware, peripheral devices, printing/scanning devices, presentation equipment, software, and other products
Secondary Job Functions:
1. Set up new user equipment and log in information. This includes email, server access, and network permissions.
2. Liaison for service personnel and printer and copier repair.
3. Special Projects work on special projects as needed. Includes training sessions, Corporate presentations, and all other IT related assistance.
Education Requirements: 4 year college or 2 year college with 2 years experience in technical support position.
Required Skills:
Understanding of Windows based Active Directory computing environment and desktop OS s including Microsoft and MAC. Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and their configuration including word, excel, PowerPoint & outlook. Both PC and MAC hardware configuration skills are needed. Must be able to complete tasks with minimum supervision. Clear English communication skills are a must, both spoken and print.
