Job Title: Handler/Sampling Technician
Location: Burlington, NC
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $16-$20 DOE

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Handler/Sampling Technician to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for collecting material samples, transporting raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility, and ensuring samples are accurately labeled, documented, and delivered for quality testing. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect raw material, in-process, and finished product samples according to established procedures.
  • Label, document, and transport samples to the Quality Laboratory for testing and evaluation.
  • Handle and move materials safely throughout the facility using manual equipment or forklifts, as required.
  • Verify material identification, lot numbers, and quantities to ensure traceability.
  • Maintain accurate records of samples, inventory, and production data.
  • Prepare sample containers and ensure proper storage and handling to prevent contamination.
  • Assist with staging materials for production and laboratory testing.
  • Monitor inventory levels of sampling supplies and notify supervision when replenishment is needed.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), quality standards, and all safety policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with Production, Warehouse, and Quality departments to ensure timely sample collection and material movement.
  • Assist with additional warehouse and production duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, or quality experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to become certified).
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Dependable with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
