Graham Personnel Services is seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to provide temporary coverage during a leave within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This role requires a visible HR presence on the production floor, supporting employees directly while ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable interacting with all levels of staff, and able to manage onboarding, employee support, and administrative functions with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the full onboarding process, including:
Preparing offer letters and new hire documentation
Coordinating background checks, onboarding tasks, and orientations
Ensuring compliance with employment documentation (I-9, E-Verify, etc.)
Serve as a visible HR presence on the manufacturing floor, building relationships and supporting employees directly
Act as a primary point of contact for employee questions related to policies, benefits, and general HR matters
Support employee relations concerns, escalating appropriately when needed
Maintain accurate and compliant employee files and HR records
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and data tracking
Partner with leadership and supervisors to ensure consistent HR support across shifts/departments
Help ensure continuity of HR operations during the leave period
Qualifications
2+ years of HR experience required; HR Generalist or HR Coordinator experience preferred
Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or high-volume environment strongly preferred
Proven ability to work on the floor and interact directly with employees and supervisors
Strong organizational and administrative skills, with high attention to detail
Experience with onboarding processes and HR systems (ADP, Workday, etc.)
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
Strong communication skills and a proactive, approachable demeanor
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
