Job Description

Job SummaryThe HR Generalist will play a crucial role in managing and administering payroll and benefits, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. This non-exempt hourly paid position involves a broad range of HR responsibilities, aimed at supporting our employees and enhancing our overall HR processes.  The ideal candidate will enjoy detailed tactical execution with time sensitive and confidential information and processes.  
Pay rate: $23-$28 DOESchedule: 7am to 4pm Mon-Fri Key Responsibilities
  1. Payroll Administration: Process and manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. HR payroll coordinator will partner with Accounting payroll team.
  2. Benefits Management: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other company-sponsored benefits.
  3. Employee Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  4. HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of HR best practices.
  5. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support on HR-related matters, specifically payroll and benefits.  
  6. Records Management: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
  7. HR Reporting: Generate and analyze HR reports and metrics to support decision-making and compliance
  8. Coordinate timely completion of Verifications of Employment, Government Documents, etc.
Qualifications
  1. 2-4 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with a focus on payroll and benefits administration.
  2. Proficiency in HRIS and payroll software systems.  For example: Proliant, SAP, Workday, ADP.  
  3. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  4. Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with employees at all levels.
  6. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
  7. Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required.
