Job Description

Graham Personnel Services is seeking a Front Desk- Check out Clerk for a busy medical office in Greensboro.

Primary Duties: (Performed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis)
  • Check out and schedule patients and/or accurately put in recalls for future appointments
  • Print clinical summary at each visit
  • Accurately and consistently scan medical records into EMR
  • Assist patients with the patient portal (Follow MyHealth)
  • Update returned mail
  • Answer phones as needed
  • Accountable to consistently follow all HIPAA policies and procedures and demonstrate compliance both in and out of the office setting. Participate in all training and educational opportunities offered by the practice.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and personal accountability in all interactions with patients, physicians, co-workers and vendors during personal, electronic or telephonic communication. Exhibit teamwork by performing tasks or duties outside of ones’ assigned role
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Secondary Duties: (Performed occasionally or as needed)
  • Back up for medical records and new patient records scanning
  • Back up check in as needed
  • Accurately and consistently collect demographic information at each visit
  • Collect copayments and direct patients to billing when needed
  • Accurately post and reconcile all payments collected

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical Front Office experience preferred
