Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Stokesdale, NC
Shift: Days - 6:45AM-7:00PM 2/2/3
Shift: Nights - 6:45PM-7:00AM 2/2/3
Pay: $18/hour
ForkLift: Must have Sit down and Stand up experience
The duties and responsibilities of a material Forklift Operator will be to handle materials and parts into the facility, keeping inventory records, and dispensing the parts and materials to other workers in the company. Record materials and parts out of the system when they are transferred to the production area. handles, moves and stores various non-hazardous and hazardous materials within a warehouse. Their main duties include loading and unloading different transport items, recording inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
What Am I Expected To Deliver, And What Are My Main Tasks?
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products
- Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas
- Identify and label materials, and record their locations in the warehouse/on the shelves to maintain inventory utilizing scanners
- Prepare finished products for shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them
- Operate reach trucks, forklifts, clamps, and other equipment to move freight
- Organize stock in the most efficient way using forklifts, pallets, etc.
- Perform and report cycle counts
- What do I need to be successful in this job?
- Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 1-5 years of experience working in a warehouse setting or in logistics; experience in operating material handling equipment preferred
- Excellent Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook
- SAP experience preferred; SAP EWMS experience highly desired
- Certification to ride forklift truck preferred; ability to achieve certification required
Must be able to work well in a team - Ability to read. write and to follow instructions, and work independently with little guidance
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time; ability to bend and to lift heavy materials
