Job Summary:
The Welder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. This role ensures all welds meet quality standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding using MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Cored processes as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal parts prior to welding.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and quality.
- Operate welding equipment, grinders, torches, and hand tools safely.
- Perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
- Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report defects, material issues, or equipment malfunctions.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous welding experience required (certifications a plus).
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and metal properties.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in hot or industrial environments.
