Pay:
$19-20.00hr
Job Description:
Produce a first quality yarn. Lines running to meet schedule. Preparation. Start up, Repairs, Guide and train others. Communication to all levels. Details understanding of procedures. Train others. Safe environment. Methodical approach with a sense of urgency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Supervisor and Quality Department with monofilament production and new development work.

- Manage the shift environment as a team leader. Guide winder operators to meet expectations.

- Execute daily production responsibilities. Team collaboration with “hands-on” approach for the extrusion lines texturing/winder units and all turf support systems.

- Assist in troubleshooting. Monitor processes proactively to recognize and correct potential problems.

- Repair extruder and texturing/winder units as requested and to trained competency.

- Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, as required. No short cuts.

- Train existing and new employees on the operation of extruder and texturing/winder units.

- Use the appropriate specification sheets to set up the extruder and texturing/winder equipment.

- Provide hands-on assistance to operators during startups, changeovers, and power failures.

- Work with Manager and operators to improve operation efficiency, quality, and scrap reduction.

- Lead by promoting safety, quality, and teamwork throughout the department.

- Understand and listen to instructions. Shift to shift communication.

- Monitor production, texturing, and winding to ensure first quality product.

- Complete all production documents at designated intervals. Follow Quality requirements.

- Ensure excellent daily housekeeping.
Qualifications:
- Required education, certifications, or licenses.
- Years of experience.
- Technical or soft skills.
Work Environment:
- Ability to stand and to use hands and fingers to handle and feel. Frequently required to walk and to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color shades.
Additional Information:
- Noise level is usually loud and requires ear protection.
- Above normal temperature and humidity.
