Electronics Technician (Part-Time)

Full job description
Scope of Performance: Perform electronic technician duties to include providing technical oversight of control systems, assist in preparing start- up procedures when required, ensuring quality requirements are met, suggest engineering solutions to problems, assist in preparing specifications, and communicating project results to site management and other team members when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with industrial automation and control systems to support energetic and inert processes.
- Instrument calibration and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI).
- Work independently and with process engineers/technicians to support project start-ups and system upgrades, project organization, loop-check, and planning for Preventative Maintenance (PM).
- Work along-side engineer and others in the line of business to create design and start-up procedures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Participate in planning and coordinating tasks to meet project goals.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience – Required:
- Knowledge of techniques and theories of electronics.
- Knowledge and proficiency in PLC, HMI, and I/O buses.
- Knowledge of process equipment and industrial control systems.
- Knowledge of LOTO processes and procedures
- Knowledge of work permits and when they need to be completed.
- Ability to work in a production environment.
- Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
