Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The most successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
  1. Design electrical control systems
  2. Design, install, maintain, and modify PLC systems
  3. Understand and be able to install and troubleshoot AC/DC drives and motors
  4. Understand and be able to work with relays, contacts, transformers, motor starters, sensors, switches, etc.
  5. Technical support and software changes of PLC based equipment
  6. Assist maintenance supervisors with machinery issues
  7. Reduce repeat downtime issues on machines
  8. Support plant safety program
  9. Assist in start-up of new technology
  10. Manage continuous improvement and modernization efforts of older systems within the plant
  11. Contribute to cost savings ideas and efforts
  12. Analyze new designs supplied by new machine sales reps
Ideal employee will have the following qualifications:
  1. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
  2. Project Management experience
  3. Excellent communication skills and capability to interact successfully with employees at all levels of the organization
  4. Ability to work individually and as part of a team
  5. Flexible schedule to support 2nd and 3rd shifts when needed
  6. 5+ years of industrial experience with electrical control systems
  7. Knowledge of Wonderware
  8. Ability to write in advanced control system programming
  9. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Maintenance experience
