The EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting, coordinating, and continuously improving all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs at the facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards while promoting a proactive, safety‑driven culture. The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and hands-on experience implementing and maintaining effective EHS processes.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
Conduct regular risk assessments, facility inspections, and PPE audits.
Support investigations of incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; assist with root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
Maintain required compliance documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
Deliver safety training for employees, including onboarding, refresher courses, and regulatory topics.
Monitor environmental compliance programs such as waste disposal, chemical handling, and air/water quality requirements.
Assist in emergency response planning and drills.
Partner with supervisors and operations teams to identify hazards and improve safety performance.
Drive engagement by promoting safe behaviors, coaching employees, and reinforcing best practices.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety roles, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and EHS training.
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and influence safe behaviors.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, or First Aid/CPR.
Experience with environmental compliance programs.
Familiarity with EHS software or digital reporting systems.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Frequent walking, standing, and movement throughout production and warehouse areas.
Ability to occasionally lift, bend, reach, or work in varying environmental conditions.
Comfort working around machinery, equipment, and industrial processes.
