Job Description

EHS Coordinator

Key Abilities:

Effectively interface with multiple layers of the plant organization.
Understand production processes and their safety requirements.
Possess basic knowledge of EHS management systems and regulations.

Production Workers
Maintenance Technicians
Frontline Supervisors
Operations Area Manager
EHS Specialist/Manager
Maintenance Manager
Expected Outputs:

Action plans from Safety Committee meetings.
Completion of EHS training and onboarding programs.
Completion of audits and assessments.
Updated MOS boards reflecting safety metrics.
Routine Activities:

Conduct New Hire Safety Training.
Deliver EHS training and perform audits/assessments on JSA, LOTO, PPE, and other safety protocols.
Organize and lead Safety Committee meetings.
Approve work permits for employees and contractors.
Ensure compliance with environmental permit requirements through daily, weekly, and monthly inspections.
Manage inspections and maintenance of emergency and fire protection equipment (hoses, fire extinguishers, spill kits, etc.).
Administer programs to exceed site goals for near-miss and hazard reporting.
Assist with 5S documentation and audits.
Conduct emergency drills.
Update site communication boards (daily, weekly, monthly).
Ad Hoc Activities:

Support Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
Enter incident data into the database, collaborate with corporate EHS, and lead investigations with root cause analysis.
Overarching Responsibilities:

Actively prioritize safety and seek opportunities for risk reduction.
Maintain strong engagement and presence on the shop floor.
Requirements:

Minimum education: Associates Degree
Operations experience and/or EHS experience required.
Hours: 7am-3:30pm
Pay: $52k+/year, Based on Experience
